A transformative gathering of over 50 leaders from around the world
ELEVATE marked the first time that all the leaders of Issachar Alliance were gathered together in one place. It was such a significant time of encouragement, training, imparting vision and seeking the face of Jesus together. “ELEVATE” was derived out of a longing to see God exalted and ‘elevated’ above all, and in all nations.
During this time it became clear that this gathering was key in broadening many of the leader’s views that they are a part of something much bigger than their own context. For some, this was their first time meeting others from the Issachar network. This was particularly real for those serving in the 10-40 window, who very often minister in isolation within their nations.
As we worshipped together there was such a sense of God’s presence and unity amongst these leaders, bringing refreshment for many. One of the key takeaways of Elevate came from a prophetic word that gave such insight into the role and heart of Issachar Alliance as a whole.
The men of Issachar were described as giant redwood trees. These trees tower to great heights, some over 100m - and yet the design of the root system to hold up these massive structures is not in the depths of their roots, but in their interconnectedness with each other. Through the intricate root system these giant trees are able to find not just stability to remain standing, but also valuable nutrition, as well as survival information with surrounding trees. This gave such insight into the heart and purpose of Issachar. These men, who are giants in their own right, have joined a like-minded tribe, and are part of a much bigger movement, benefiting from each other’s shared desire to see the Kingdom come – they find renewed strength in unity and are able to help one another – a collective resilience.

After the conference, Paul and the team were able to break away with the leaders who are serving in the 10-40 window for a few days, spending time listening and seeking to understand their mission fields. During this time, it became clear that the leaders serving in unreached nations will be central to Issachar’s future focus. God gave the team insight in needing to prepare and gear up in learning how to support these men who are ministering to the unreached.
Elevate marked the end of the first chapter of the last 4 years of Issachar Alliance whilst also ushering the start of something new – we feel God leading us forward into a new season as we continue to connect, network and impact more and more unreached nations.
